Greek yogurt is an extremely versatile, on-the-run, protein-packed snack option. With over 18g of protein and 20% DV calcium per cup, it’s undoubtedly a staple in any protein-fiend’s fridge, especially if you’re in the camp that eats 5, 6, 7+ meals per day.

Despite its status as a protein juggernaut, many pre-packaged flavored varieties are absolutely LOADED with sugar. Some brands/flavors spike as high as 29 grams per yogurt, a high-percentage of which comes from non-fruit added sources (in the form of evaporated cane juice, plain sugar, or fructose). While I’m a massive proponent of a high protein diet, that much sugar on a regular basis is unacceptable and WILL cause you to gain fat if you overindulge.

Your 1-2-3 solution: learn to accessorize uber-creamy, delectably rich 2% Greek yogurt (FAGE 2% is personally my favorite brand, but feel free to use Chobani/Oikos/etc.).
