[Infographic] This Is How Many Calories Worth Of Coke, Skittles, & Gummy Bears Are In Your Starbucks Drink

We’ve already covered the evil, seasonal powers of Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL). This quirky infographic from I Love Coffee takes it to the next level by illustrating the caloric calamity in most Starbucks drinks in terms of non-coffee things like Pizza, Skittles, and Gummy Bears.

Yes, your Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino IS the equivalent of 120 Skittles (well, at least as far as calories go).

Whether it’s something as obviously destructive as a Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha, or more stealthy like the Green Tea Latte, they’re all unadulterated belly busters. Once you venture off the coffee menu and into the world of drinkable dessert concoctions, all of coffee’s powerful benefits immediately evaporate. Stick with the real deal.

A lot of these comparisons literally give us food for thought. But there is one that doesn’t make sense simply because all calories are not created equal. The 190 calories from a latte (assuming this is without sugar here) is certainly a great choice compared to the 190 calories from a pizza which would contain simple carbs/sugar and sat fat from all the cheese. Would love to see an infographic comparing sugar content.

    • Absolutely. I’ll look into doing a full piece on Starbucks drinks that covers the entire picture.
