LOVE Fruit, HATE The Mess? Grab These Creative OXO Fruit Tools

Mango, Mangoes, Mango Cutter

I LOVE mangoes — put it on the record that they’re my favorite fruit. What’s not to love? They’re delicious, juicy, succulent, tropical and absolutely LOADED with vitamins A & C. Throw a few M chunks in a blender with a scoop of vanilla whey and a little almond milk, and you’ve got an unbelievably refreshing, protein-packed, low-cal Mango Madness Smoothie in under 2 minutes flat.

I also HATE mangoes, and pineapple for that matter. My #1 issue with mangoes, and what ultimately prompts me to consume gobs and gobs of Trader Joes Frozen Mango Chunks, is my utter ineptitude when it comes to cubing them. Cutting up a fresh mango quickly turns into an orange pulp-filled massacre, highly reminiscent of a Dexter crime scene. Besides being messy, I ultimately get a lot less edible mango. Instead of 3-4 servings, I typically only net 1. That’s inefficiency and pain if I’ve ever seen it.

When it comes to pineapples, they’re intimidating. They’re huge and spiky, and it’s a daunting process to get them into cubes/slices. Luckily, I stumbled upon a few uber useful fruit tools from OXO that make the days of mango-cutting and pineapple-splitting SO much less stressful.

The end result? More fruit, more easily, which nets in a healthier, less-expensive diet.

Here are a few of the tools they offer, with variants for mangoes, pineapples, avocadoes, strawberries, peaches, bananas, and more.
