McDonalds Advertising Vs Reality

Print Friendly

Have you ever wondered why your McDonald’s quarter-pounder never  looks like it’s in the same burger-sphere as the ones in the ads?

Clearly Isabel M. of Toronto was thinking just that when she asked the Director of Marketing for McDonald’s Canada:

Why does [McDonald's] food look different in the advertising than what is in the store?

Turns out there’s actually a food stylist  to pretty up those big, bad, beefy burgers America craves so badly. Between Photoshop, a lack of steam, and prime condiment placement, the McDonalds’ marketing team can produce an ad quality, HD burger in a few short hours.

Check out the short video below for a behind the scenes look at what really goes on during a McDonald’s burger photo shoot.

So how is this different than.all of the photoshopped pictures of bodybuilders that you use on this site. There is nothing wrong with cheating a little to make things look better thats why we shave our stomaches and tan to make our abs pop.

@whiney I completely agree with you, and to be honest, I find nothing wrong with it! I didn’t use any negative language whatsoever, I just found the process of burger altercation really interesting.
