Got a container of Sabra hummus in your fridge? Triple check it before dunking. And then check it two more times.

Sabra has officially recalled 30,000 cases of their Classic Hummus after learning about a potential Listeria contamination (technically: listeria monocytognes).

Listeria from contaminated batches can cause a bunch of nasty symptoms, including heavy fever, diarrhea, gut distress, headaches, and nausea; and in children and the elderly, it can even be fatal. Don’t let your hummus be a death sentence.

The recall applies to 7 products and is exclusive to the Classic flavor. AKA your Roasted Red Pepper is all good. SKUs include:

  • 040822011143/300067 – Sabra Classic, 10 oz. – 3-059/Best before May 11;
  • 040822011143/300067 – Sabra Classic 10 oz. – 3-060/Best before May 15
