22 minutes! Researchers in Australia recently conducted a study on 11,000 adults to get to the bottom of just how horrible TV-watching really is for your health. Well…I didn’t really see this coming, but the results were pretty shocking. The researchers found that Australian’s 25+ collectively watched ~9.8 BILLION hours of TV since 2008, which equated to a loss of 286,000 hours of life–or about 22 minutes/hour of TV watched. Wow…That’s pretty incredible. Thinking about it, you’d have to watch ~23,890 hours to cut 1 year off of your life, or ~65.5 hours to cut 1 day off of your life. Well then, thinking to myself…I’ve already lost a few months of my life. It’s no secret that the energy drink industry is a behemoth…and I’m talking about a behemoth worth nearly $42 BILLION in global annual revenue. A ton of companies are entering the extremely lucrative “energy” space and developing innovative new ways to deliver powerful jolts of energy to sleep deprived, party-hardy, excitement-seeking consumers. Recently I’ve seen these little energy strips—highly reminiscent of Listerine Pocket Pack Breath Strips—called “Sheets” pop up all over the internet, in NYC, and in Vitamin Shoppe’s/GNC’s everywhere. What stands out about Sheets has nothing at all to do with what’s in them—they’re rather unspectacular, one Sheet has a really boring blend of 100mg caffeine (about as much caffeine as 1/2 of a cup of coffee), vitamin E, and the full spectrum of B vitamins—but rather the obscenely ridiculous, crude, and quite frankly really hilarious advertising campaign that accompanies them. Pretty surprisingly, Sheets...

Yum…Taco Bell Meat Contains Only 35% Beef, 57% Fat

Posted by on Apr 10, 2012 in Diet It UP, Eating Out, News

Honestly, it was pretty obvious that Taco Bell wasn’t serving high quality beef in it’s products. Lets be serious…it’s Taco Bell. What’s actually surprising though is that Taco Bell’s “seasoned beef” is not only fatty as hell, but it’s barely beef at all.
