  What made the biggest impression on me from Apple’s “Let’s Talk iPhone” event ironically wasn’t the iPhone at all (I was actually underwhelmed), but rather the next-gen, buffed-up, iPod Nano. From a fitness POV, this thing is damn near perfect. It’s functional. The Nano sports an accelerometer–the sensor that allows the Nano to act as a pedometer. The built-in fitness app tracks the # of steps, calories burned, pace, and duration of your runs/workouts. It can also talk to you and voice-over motivational messages…fancy. It’s your own little pocket-sized personal trainer! It’s analytical. All of the data collected by the fitness app is easily exported into the Nike+ website. Online you can view your workout history, progress, take part in forums, and even enter challenges based on your activity levels. It’s simple, and I love simple. The Nano comes pre-packed, right...
